Institute Description

The Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (SUPEA) is a reference department for psychiatric care for child and adolescent in Lausanne and in the Vaud state.

The research unit has two main objectives: 1) to study the mechanisms underlying child and adolescent psychopathologies: 2) to conduct evidence-based studies in order to assess the clinical practice and the therapeutic tools used within the service in order to improve and adapt the care for our patients.
Short profile of group

Prof. Dr. Kerstin Jessica Plessen is a child and adolescent psychiatrist, Chief of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Lausanne University Hospital and professor at the Faculty of Biology and Medicine at the Lausanne University. She has directed a number of projects focusing on tic disorders and ADHD in children during the past years in Denmanrk (University of Copenhagen), Norway (University of Bergen), USA (Columbia University) and now in Switzerland. Her main focus is on developmental tracks of endophenotypes, more specifically neuroimaging, connected to the disorders.

Dr.Marithe Malagodi is currently chief resident at the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Lausanne University Hospital. She has five years of clinical experience in Child and Adult Psychiatry. During these years, she met children and families with neurodevelopmental disorders. She is responsible for the clinical part of the TIC Genetics project.

Jennifer Glaus is a psychologist with a PhD in life sciences. Since 2018, she works as research scientist at the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Lausanne University Hospital. Her duties in the TIC Genetics project are data coordination, administrative management and partners’ communication.
